Iditasport® is the Alaskan event that started all human-powered Super Ultras. Skiers, bikers, and runners compete head-to-head on the same course in February. The original Iditasport® dissolved in 2002. We resurrected Iditasport® in 2014 to bring winter ultramarathons to the next level. We were the first to use GPS devices and live tracking for human-powered events in Alaska. We use reflective trail markers on our course & have snowmachine support. We are a 100% Alaskan operated nonprofit. 100% volunteers help put on this race. Our board members are devoted to preserving this historic event.
Our goal is to advance safe winter travel in the state of Alaska. promote health & wellness throughout our great state of Alaska. Iditasport® promotes health & wellness for Alaskans young and old. We facilitate first aid training and first response winter rescue for rural and non-rural communities.
We feel that everyone needs a release from the daily grind—a reboot for a clean slate & a great way to do that is to push yourself to the next level.
