Iditasport is the Alaskan event that started all human-powered ultramarathons. Skiers, bikers, and runners will compete head-to-head on the same course in February. The original Iditasport dissolved in 2001. We resurrected Iditasport in 2014 to bring winter ultramarathons to the next level. We were the first to use GPS devices on our winter race course to track our participants. We use reflective trail markers on our course, & we have air and ground support because conditions can change dramatically during an event. These safety precautions do not make the race any easier! We are Alaskan owned and operated. Our board members are devoted to preserving this legendary event.
Our goal is to promote health & wellness through human-powered events.
We feel that everyone needs a release from the daily grind—a reboot for a clean slate & a great way to do that is to push yourself to the next level.
We hope Alaska’s majestic landscape and this fantastic race will be your reboot of a lifetime!
